It works very well with my wood handle pen
Excellent quality.
I use ink mainly for drawing and painting. This ink is very nice. A few notes. And of course all based on opinion, not fact. It isn’t the darkest black. But it is a nice warm carbon black. With a brush, I get opaque coverage. With a glass dip pen or a cartoonist dip pen using a fine flex nib I get a muted but dark grey. When I use it on watercolor paper, it does have an extended dry time, as to be expected, however it doesn’t achieve a full waterproof if you lightly agitate it with a wet brush. It is more water resistant. Which is ok. The only fault I see isn’t even the ink itself. It is the bottle. For this I can’t deduct stars because I care about what’s in the bottle. The bottle is cork capped. Which I understand it is to look historical. However it is hardly a practical solution for anybody like me that likes to take ink on the go. Another flaw in the bottle is to forget about pouring it into a palette or in my case a tattoo ink cap. The mouth of the bottle causes it to run down the side and practically get everywhere. So either get an inkwell or use a dropper bottle. Otherwise, an affordable ink that does what India ink should do.
