    • Clocked stockings are so named for the process of weaving the design in the side. They are a good way to add a little more flash to any outfit, man or woman. They have the same great retention as our solid color stockings.

This same pattern can be found in two different paintings by William Hogarth. One features the green and yellow combination, the other blue and white.

    Very well made

Very happy with these for my civilian impression. Thick material bright vibrant color and comfortable to wear.

    Good selection of quality garments

I didn't just buy stockings, I also bought a couple of waist coats. What I like about them is they are well made, not cheap party costume quality. I also LOVED the opportunity to try them on right off the rack before buying. Unfortunately, that option is usually only available at festivals where they have a tent set up.

Beautiful stockings, but thicker legs may have a little trouble

I just received these today and first things first, I love the design. The clocking is beautiful and my calves have never looked better. The sizing is a little odd — they fit my feet (women's size 8.5W) and ankles very well, but I have fairly thick thighs so they're quite tight at the top and tend to roll down. After wearing them for a bit I have some indication that they may stretch with time, but it's more likely that I'll need to fold them down over a garter for comfort and to keep them from rolling further. They're very worth the price and completely charming as a historical costuming piece, but just be aware that if you have thicker legs (especially thighs) then a garter is required, not optional. I'll be using the silk ribbon they sell to make my own!
