    • This 18th-century style shot cup is the great representation of a gil sized leather vessel. Lined with brewer's pitch, it will not deteriorate regardless of the beverage put in it, providing it is not hot.

History Point: a shot cup like this was originally called a gil cup (pronounced like Jeel) referring to the unit of measure.

    What a cool item!

This little mugs are going to be a lot of fun for upcoming LH activities as well as celebrating Thanksgiving with a colonial flair! I suspect I will generate significant interest in our activities when people see me using this!

    Great little cups!

Though these were a bit smaller than I thought, they are extremely well made. The leather is properly coated to the point of being stiff and sturdy. They work great with 5 small bone dice loaded in them for an authentic travel sized version of liars dice!
