The boots are very attractive, fit great and are what I was seeking for my Regency era kit. My only disappointment was in the placement and nature of the boot straps. They were wider than they neededto be and were not set opposite of each other. Consequently the boots twisted to the side when attempting to pull them on. I made alterations that worked fine but that took a good bit of time and effort. That done, the boots look and feel fantastic.
Before I ordered these attractive boots I called with a few questions and had a long and helpful conversation. That experience caused me to confidently proceed. It was a wise decision. I am very pleased with my newly arrived Men's Riding Boots. My shoe size is 9 1/2, but I always choose a size 10 boot, and am grateful that I did so. The boots fit great and truly do look fantastic. They are of first quality and will be worn with pride when I attend a regimental dinner in a few weeks. I must add that I can't fathom how they might have shipped them to me more quickly unless they immediately jumped in the car and drove the 513 miles to my door...without stopping for coffee. The Samsons clearly take pride in their business as well as in the quality of their merchandise. It is also obvious to me that they value their customers. I have purchased items for both my 18th century kits and Regency period kits, and have never been disappointed. It is my intention to remain a loyal customer and hope to visit their shop at some point in the future.
The boots are outstanding, everything I was hoping for.
